Artist Elisabeth Worstman is a graduate in History from the University of São Paulo. For over thirty years working as a Professor of History, always establishing connections between historical and artistic contexts of each discussed period or subject. We are often attracted by intense visual sensations such as vibrant colors, sinuous shapes and multicolored surface patterns. In Elisabeth's Worstman Works, our eyes are conducted by the intensity of contrasts. Color is often associated with appeal and emotions in art history. The relation between humans and nature has been a great source of inspiration for Worstman's work. The artist distills, from the nature's contemplation, a composition that can be identified as abstract. In this set of works, the artists creates landscapes which are certainly not exact equivalents to what was seen, but serve as pretext for free experimentation in combining elements of visual language with juxtaposed ink stains.
