Located in 2021, we do not believe that this piece has been used or seen daylight for over 75 years. After an extensive and complete full restoration we are proud to present the rarest World War II Japanese Big Eye binoculars that we have ever encountered.
This magnificent 150mm Japanese Naval Big Eye is the only pair of this style that the Luxxoptica team has ever encountered. With serial # 1 stamped on the left prism housing, we believe that it may be the first of only a few pairs ever produced and Luxxoptica believes it may be the only pair of this size and type that has survived the war.
The dual magnification feature, unique to this piece, was only seen on very special and rare Bigeyes that were allocated to the largest and most prized and strategically valuable warships. This unique feature is what gives this pair its rarity and will be a truly special piece for the right collector.
