The Japanese 15 x 80 mm straight-through model has air-spaced achromats and a Porro II prism system. The IPD is adjusted by the inward or outward rotation of the prism housings. The real field view of this instrument is 4 degrees with an apparent field of 60 degrees, and the eyepiece design is a variation of the Erfle.
